The first half of 2012 has
passed~ I feel so blessed with this
year’s rare opportunities that I was able to travel to some amazing countries,
I really really Thanked God for that.
My first trip this year is
Winter’s trip to Singapore, Hongkong, and Macau. Let’s say it’s a very uplanned
trip, since I just got the idea around late December while I’ll be going on
Early February. I usually planned a trip 6 months before, so two month is
considered ‘unplanned’ for me. This trip is fully sponsored by my parents, and
the idea just come out suddenly when I watched Running Man in Hongkong episode.
One day, Mom asked me if we can go to Singapore again because last year trip to
Singapore was too short, and because I was busy with Super Junior concert that
time, I don’t even have time to take even a single picture with her. I happily said yes,
but I said it’ll be more interesting if we go to other place as well, like
Singapore-Malaysia, etc. Then mom asked me to make a proposal about what place
we’ll visit, budgeting, hotels, and so on. Because I was excited and I’m pretty good at this, I finished the proposal
in just 2 hours. LOL. The next step is getting my dad permission, because Its
only me and mom so I don’t know if he will say ok. And unfortunately, dad says
NO T__T Dad doesn’t like the idea that I’m going to Malaysia, because in his
opinion Malaysia is our rival (Le Sigh, please forgive my dad’s primordiality)
and whats the point of going to Singapore again? I asked mom, How about
Thailand? But she said no due to flood issues in Thailand that time. But I
don’t want to give up, keke. Because I just wacth runningman in HK so I got
this idea, why not HK? Its doesn’t need visa and there’s so many interesting
place out there. I told my mom this idea and she immediately says yes, so I
re-make the proposal right away. Mom asked me to tighten the budget and I said
IDR 5millions/person is enough since we’re using backpacker hostels and LCC
Airlines.
This time mom trying to
persuade Dad by telling him because we’re going to make visa for our trip to
korea later, we need more immigration stamps so it’ll be easier to get visa
approval. And this plan succeeds~ Finally dad says “As you wish~” which means
YES, so I quickly make a preparation in booking the flight tickets, hostel, and
itineraries. Because mom want more companion, she asked her friend Tante Rini,
and she want to, so everything fix!
Day passed away and the time
comes, I actually still have some problems with my itinerary in Hongkong-Macau
because of our tight schedule. We’ll be going from February 1st
until February 7th, we’ll spent two days in Singapore, 4 days in
Hongkong, and 1 day in Macau. I regret that I should added more days in
Hongkong but things happened already and because this is a holiday, so just
enjoy it like what it is!
Day 1 (February 1st, 2012)
Jakarta – Singapore
I took an early flight from
Jakarta around 6am, so we’ll have more time to explore Singapore later. I
didn’t book a hostel in Singapore because mom said our neighbor will gave us a
ride and help us find a hostel but that just a WRONG DECISION. Actually we met
our neighbor in airport but she was very useless, she’s not even helping us AT
ALL and I think meeting her is a big mistake because we’re just wasting our
time. In the end, it was me that going here and there around Dickson road to
search available hostel T_T After searching for more than +10 hostel, we
finally found this great hostel beside a main road and just near SimLim Tower.
We booked double room with only SGD65 for 2 persons and additional SGD10 for
the third person so overall its SGD75/3persons. The room was small but very
comfy and clean, with 32” LCD TV and hot shower. After tidying up our luggage and do
prayer, we decide to go to marina bay
and merlion park. Mom and I have been there last year, but we're not going together so we want to go again this time. We took a bus and for God's sake, we stopped at the wrong bus stop that makes us need to walk like so daaaaaamn far to merlion statue. We took couples of picture then went to Orchard Road to have dinner in Lucky Plaza Asian Foodcourt. I had this very yummy Yukgaejang like I ate last year with Anggi & Galuh.. aaah suddenly miss them and our craziness last year :( After having dinner, we went to Bugis Street to do shopping kekeke
